Umbria in Summer

July - August

Seemingly never ending summer days and mild long nights - the lovely sound of the crickets. Everybody is out and about till late at night - on village festivals, concerts or dance.

At the end of July you may enjoy the Trasimeno Blues Festival, with lots of concerts on the Piazza or in the local Pubs. Or do you prefer Jazz? Umbria Jazz attracts rather a lot of internationally known artists into the region.

Mid August, the Palio is the main attraction of the summerly festivities. A historic parade and an archery contest are not to be missed out on. Or would you even like to participate? Picture yourself wearing those historic costumes. Would you like to learn the art of archery or banner swinging? We‘ll make it possible for you.
